On the day of your test, your instructor will normally take you for a drive around the test area and arrive at the Driving Test Centre about 10 minutes before the test is due to start.

You are allowed up to 15 driving (or "minor") faults, although one serious or dangerous fault will result in a fail. During the test, you will be required to perform two reversing manouvres and you may be asked to carry out a controlled (emergency) stop.
When you pass, the examiner will take your Provisional Licence to send off to the DVLA . Your new Full Licence should arrive in the post within about 10 days. You will be issued with a Test Pass certificate. This entitles you to drive on your own!
